Anuncian programa de santuarios de verano para jóvenes,“Safe Haven, Safe Summer”.
El programa tiene el objetivo de dar a los padres de familia la seguridad de que sus hijos están a salvo durante las vacaciones escolares.
Consiste en una variedad de servicios a los niños, incluyendo comidas sanas, actividades físicas, programas de lectura, tutoría y exposición a las artes.
La iniciativa es parte de una asociación de las Escuelas Públicas de Chicago y Caridades Católicas de Chicago.
También se ofrecerán talleres diarios para el manejo del enojo, resolución de conflictos y la lucha contra el acoso.
El programa empieza el lunes 25 de junio.
Los interesados se pueden inscribir a través de cada iglesia participante.
Las iglesias han adoptado escuelas específicas y han enviado volantes a sus vecindarios para ayudar a promover la participación.
